Excellent smooth pudding! The onsen eggs are one of the best that I had in Japan. What more can one ask for with the scenery.

One of the oldest pudding shop. The pudding is nice apart from the caramel at the bottom was a bit too bitter for me.

BEPPU!! nice hot spring town!!

A most place to visit when in Beppu. Really good purin and eggs. 300 yen for purin and 100 yen for egg. Food is also an option! Fair priced.Quite busy and packed! So be prepared to wait or hope for good weather so you can sit outside.

I've been to this restaurant twice and gotten their curry udon with an onsen-steamed egg both times. They have pet dogs who are very friendly and like being pet, as well as a great view and atmosphere. The food was great as well.I give the restaurant a 4-star review though because it closes at 6:30 which is too early for anyone with a job to make on a weekday. Overall though it's a great stop.

Ordered the Toriten and pudding parfait. Toriten is made right when you ordered. The meat inside is very soft while outside is crispy. There also different seasoning on the counter you can use. I recommend using the kabosu sauce which is Oita speciality. The pudding parfait is also surprising yummy. It look very sweet with the chocolate layer but in fact it’s chocolate ice so the sweetness is just right.

Great place for a snack, worth a detour to try the pudding and for the views.

My wife likes the onsen pudding. Parking is a pain, we passed it to find street parking. The shops lot had a line to get in. My wife said the pudding was really good. The Carmel was thick, not too sweet with just the right bitterness

Nice food with an excellent view of the arch bridge

Rather than a restaurant, I think it's a place where you can make your trip more enjoyable with take-out. Egg sand is famous, but I recommend a combination of rice balls and a heavenly combination. Egg sandwiches are a well-known product, but rice balls can be tastefully finished with mochi mochi, sharks, and cobs. Why not try onigiri if possible? I don't think it's big, so I think about 3 pieces can be perry.

The onsen pudding is delicious. It is always full of people and difficult to get a seat during peak hour (e.g. before 14:30). The environment will be more relax and quiet after the peak hour. The parking is nearly full when I arrive there (~14:00), but I am still able to get a parking space.

pudding tastes terrific.

Wife and I decided to make the hour drive over the mountain to have a late lunch and enjoy the scenery. Both of which were very nice. We shared an egg sandwich, tori-tenpura, onsen tamago (hot spring egg) and its famous pudding (which we thought wasn't as good as its reputation holds). None-the-less, it was nice place to have a quick bite to eat.

Onsen pudding is the main attraction here, but pudding ice cream was surprisingly good. Sadly, being a semi-outdoor place full of sweet items, you will sometimes see bees roaming around which is not exactly enjoyable.

The view looking over the bridge and houses was nice! Pudding was alright, nothing special. Good for stopover for roadtrip, have clean washrooms, good for a break.

Pudding was nice and whilst I didn't order them, their hot food was reasonably priced with items available for under 1000 yen. The seating overlooks a nice view of the town.

超人気なお店です。蒸し焼きも美味しいが、オススメはプリンです。土日はお客様で溢れ、車も停めれない程の人気です。店内にイートインがあるので、蒸し焼きを食べた後にプリンを食べると良いんじゃないかな。また行きたい店舗の一つです。

Curry was very good and tempura chicken delicious followed by the pudding which the original flavour tasted better than the coffee.

When you get off the Beppu IC, the first thing you want to drop by is Okamotoya. The pronoun here, “Original Jigoku Steamed Pudding,” is exquisite.Custard pudding with a handmade texture. The smooth texture and the deep bitter taste of the caramel match very well, and just eating a bite will spread the rich taste in your mouth, and you will surely be enveloped in a sense of happiness.There is also a take-out pudding, but first we recommend eating in the restaurant while enjoying the hot spring atmosphere.
